Hi guys, I have just seen a deal on here showing the iZettle chip + pin card reader available for £34+, however I purchased this only yesterday for £19 +vat direct from iZettle.

PS. The purpose of this post is to hopefully help people save the extra £10 on the other deal and not to put the other deal down in any way at all. I have also mentioned the link in the comments on the other thread, however, as I often just click on the Get Deal link without reading all the comments I thought it may be worth a separate post.

Perhaps I missed something but why was this voted cold when it's cheaper than a current top 10 item?

Not unusual for that to happy.. as it happens this actually comes in a little cheaper still at £22.80 (£19.00 + VAT(£3.80))

Brilliant thanks. I already use iZettle and it works great. Just used the link to buy a second terminal :-)

How did you get a 2nd reader. I was looking to get another one. It says new customers only

Says battery lasts for 8 hours active use or 100 transactions, that's near 5 mins per transaction. Almost quicker to take a cheque, walk to bank and wait for it to clear :stuck_out_tongue:

Ha, yes in theory, but says 5 seconds per transaction on their website. Maybe means 8 hours powered on and uses a bit more power to do a transaction, so will only do around 100 transaction on a charge. Doesnt seem bad to me

do you need merchant account to link with iZettle?

No, you only need an iZettle account. Similar in many ways to PayPal Here, but lower processing fees.
