Was in Asda QUEENSFERRY - A lot of paint on clearance including 5l brilliant white paint - silk and matt - for £10. I thought it was a really good price amd can't see a better price advertised on line... Quite a lot of tins available this afternoon - not sure if it's national.

Use Johnstones paint over Dulux or Crown! I personally think it's much better; it's cheaper, covers better and seems to last longer too. No brainer if you ask me! Johnstones have some lovely colours, and my house is slowly becoming full of them!

Excellent price for a very good brand but I have used this many times and have noticed the last few times the brilliant white is more brilliant off white grey, I bought the Dulux white soft sheen and the difference in colour is very noticeable if your like me when you buy brilliant white that's what you expect ,so it makes you wonder if that's why this is so cheap for 5l tin that's always on offer at £10.00 .

My builder has recommended using Eclipse by MacPherson. Any thoughts, good paint?
Always been a Dulux-er.

dulux retail stuff is not what it used to be especially with whites. dulux trade is still good. but then again all trade variants of big brands are. Most people think trade stuff is cheap but it's the opposite. more expensive than retail but the difference is the paint's cover better meaning less labour time.
