I bought this for £299 last autumn. It's a Bauhn branded TV and for the money it's excellent. I'd guess it wouldn't be any good for gaming etc but for a second set in a bedroom or such like it's great, especially at that price.

Buy a Sony decal and stick it on just make sure when family and friends come down it's stitched off.
excellent deal - my local aldi is getting a refurb atm and will reopen in december - i'll keep my eye open for any similar deals to this - if you can get it this is a major bargain - probably solid at £299.99 - aldi electronics aren't too bad - had a computer and tv from them in the past which turned out well

Wasn't that 48" though? this is 40"
For anyone interested (not me) - if this is like the 48" model, then 'apparently' HDMI port #4 is HDMI 2.0

some of us still have a 22" tv that does 720p as our main TV lol.

That's an amazing price for any 40 inch LCD, forget about 4K! Even has 4 x HDMI, unheard of in this price bracket. If the picture is half decent I'd grab one. What can possibly go wrong, even comes with a 3 year warranty from Aldi which I've found to be sterling when I returned one of their heavily used drills - just keep your receipt.

Sounds good but will you notice any 4K difference on a TV this small? My understanding was that it had to be a large telly to bring a noticeable benefit over 1080.
