I bought this for £299 last autumn. It's a Bauhn branded TV and for the money it's excellent. I'd guess it wouldn't be any good for gaming etc but for a second set in a bedroom or such like it's great, especially at that price.

I wouldn't buy this for watch blu rays or gaming the contrast ratio of 3000:1 is terrible for proper detail fine for normal tv though. Seen it before ok tv

Sony aren't the TV manufacturer they once were, i would be peeling the Sony stickers off a Sony TV tbh

Erm I did post it yesterday lunchtime and let everyone know it was a one day special,
Believe it or not deals stay on here forever, even after they've expired and yes I have actually requested they expire it now.
Sorry but it's not my fault you only saw it now is it? :smirk:

Bit of a waste when you get the info on a 1 day sale the day after the sale!

The lack of a brand name or model number should be warning enough. I think you will literally be getting what you pay for with this TV. Better off putting in a little extra and going for a Hisense TV if you're after something cheap.

What an incredible deal. This should go over 1000

Sounds good but will you notice any 4K difference on a TV this small? My understanding was that it had to be a large telly to bring a noticeable benefit over 1080.

That's an amazing price for any 40 inch LCD, forget about 4K! Even has 4 x HDMI, unheard of in this price bracket. If the picture is half decent I'd grab one. What can possibly go wrong, even comes with a 3 year warranty from Aldi which I've found to be sterling when I returned one of their heavily used drills - just keep your receipt.

Wasn't that 48" though? this is 40"
For anyone interested (not me) - if this is like the 48" model, then 'apparently' HDMI port #4 is HDMI 2.0

excellent deal - my local aldi is getting a refurb atm and will reopen in december - i'll keep my eye open for any similar deals to this - if you can get it this is a major bargain - probably solid at £299.99 - aldi electronics aren't too bad - had a computer and tv from them in the past which turned out well
