The Claris groupset that comes equipped on the bicycle is Shimano's entry level, 8 speed groupset, but still features the same braking and shifting action as the much more expensive groupsets, using the brake lever to also perform one of the gear shifts. This system means that you are always in complete control of your bicycle.

bring called 'prime' was probably a touch unfortunate with the negative response to the tidal wave of crappy amazon prime 'deals'.

ok maybe not going to last long if you catch the bug, but if you are looking into starting out at road cycling this IMO is a decent deal if you don't have a massive budget.
very good bike got this when was on offer last time its my 2nd road bike great service from ribble

Good price for a decent starter bike. Claris is a bit of a basic group set but, if you are a beginner this will certainly get you going,and, by the time you decide you need something better you'll be moving on to a different bike anyway! For some folks this is all they'll ever need. You could probably sell this for not much less than this price. Hot
