Some very tasty ready to eat Indian vegetarian meals/curries from Ashoka are available at Tesco nationwide for 75 pence a pack! The ones I saw at 3 different stores in London (SW19) were DAL MAKHANI, BOMBAY BIRYANI and PUNJABI CHOLEY. Ashoka has a wide range and It is possible that other curries are available as well.
Just checked, PANJABI CHOLEY is available at Tesco online as well. At the same price of £0.75!

Unbelievable what I saw today - a right proper brawl involving 2 Indians both fighting over these - I've just heard from a good sauce it ended very seriously both of them are in hospital.
One is in a korma and the other has a dodgy tikka.
I'll get my coat :smirk:

That's fair! Depends what exactly is 'home made' for you. This brand is cooked and packed in India and has a really authentic Indian taste. However, the curry restaurants here in the UK cook in a different way and hence the taste differs.

These are foil packed to remain fresh and are not frozen. They are purely vegetarian so no beef or horse.

Yes LJM, in the bigger stores, yes. However, I found them in 2 Tesco express stores as well where the country demarcation is not really that clear.
