Some very tasty ready to eat Indian vegetarian meals/curries from Ashoka are available at Tesco nationwide for 75 pence a pack! The ones I saw at 3 different stores in London (SW19) were DAL MAKHANI, BOMBAY BIRYANI and PUNJABI CHOLEY. Ashoka has a wide range and It is possible that other curries are available as well.
Just checked, PANJABI CHOLEY is available at Tesco online as well. At the same price of £0.75!
All three varieties are now available online. Thanks to 'deany76' for letting us know!

Unbelievable what I saw today - a right proper brawl involving 2 Indians both fighting over these - I've just heard from a good sauce it ended very seriously both of them are in hospital.
One is in a korma and the other has a dodgy tikka.
I'll get my coat :smirk:

The one that stole the battery was placed in a cell. They found him flat out in the morning before charging him.

I always make my own curry and chapatis my other half won't eat any other
Just packaging alone costs more than that, it probably is good DEAL but not good buy.
There are many videos on YouTube, would suggest learn to cook and freeze instead of ready meal.

Didn't like the Bombay biryani (probably because I like my meat).
However I now use it as a base for making my own chicken/lamb/ pork/beef biryani with leftover curry .
I just make alternate layers of this biryani with meat and also add a few strands of fresh coriander and some fried onions in a casserole dish with a tight lid
I then bake it in the oven for a while and it turns out quite nice.

Nice find op, Heat added. Tasty ready to eat curries, that can be stored. Not going to be a Michelin restaurant quality but will stoke up for when busy to cook.

Are these in the international foods aisle?

Yes LJM, in the bigger stores, yes. However, I found them in 2 Tesco express stores as well where the country demarcation is not really that clear.

fresh or frozen?, beef or horse?

These are foil packed to remain fresh and are not frozen. They are purely vegetarian so no beef or horse.

not exactly home made

That's fair! Depends what exactly is 'home made' for you. This brand is cooked and packed in India and has a really authentic Indian taste. However, the curry restaurants here in the UK cook in a different way and hence the taste differs.
