Yes have to agree I wouldn't have wanted to install my v2 on my own. But upgrade to three was literally one extra cable

Not sure I understand - wiring up heating only (v2) is much easier than wiring up heating and hot water(v3) . There's a nice Scottish man on YouTube who explains v2 and the 'common wire' quite well :smiley:
It was the 'satisfied' wire for hot water on v3 that threw me. Took me a few weeks to 'satisfy' myself I'd done it right

any reason why I shouldn't choose this over the 3rd gen for a combi boiler? Is it just a cosmetic upgrade, or are there alot less features?
Has google stopped support for this product?
There is a lot of different products out now, so its a little difficult to know which one to buy.

just a heads up if anyone is thinking of this who has a windows phone, netatmo do a thermostat which is very easy to use although more expensive than this, but has an official windows phone app!

Was going to buy the 3rd generation but have a combi gas boiler with no hot water tank so this will do the same job.
Could just be local deal but worth checking out your nearest store if interested. Product not stocked online.
