I'd rather have the flexibility of a Raspberry Pi 3 with RetroPie + Roms for NES, SNES, MegaDrive, NeoGeo, N64, FBA, MAME, etc... for a similar amount of money.

Hopefully this gets more heat that the other deal which has 5p of RRP and has for some reason over 1500 degrees.

sadly a lot of heat is now down to who/what posts it. Happens every day now.

Unless it's possible this could be modified to play other ROMs in the future this is useless to me. Far better emulation options on just about every platform out there already, NES emulation is so mature that it's practically perfect these days.
This would just be a collectors item to sit on my shelf and look good.

Be aware that it won't play cartridges. Seems to be confusion over that.

Some confusion?! The cartridges are bigger than the mini console itself. (Obviously, I understand that not everyone has seen this up close, but the hand is there for scale in most of the press release pics)

Just to let others know - It has been confirmed there won't be any more games available than the 30 you get with the system. No digital distribution for more games or expansion through mini-carts. Only the 30 already built in the system.
Disappointing.
On a brighter note, Nintendo has been coy on the subject of a mini SNES. So there is that to look forward to.

A mini SNES, with the right games, would be an instant purchase. One of the greatest game libraries of all time!

Agreed........unless that's locked to 30 games as well :disappointed: Having said that, as long as it has Secret of Mana on, I'll be happy

Going to be hard choosing 30 games for a mini snes without expansion for the rest.

$60 = £45 at the moment. Add on 20% VAT = £54.
