It's great that GAME has this avail so anyone can pre-order if they want to own and use one with their Wiimotes (as they've got the Wii CCP port) optionally to the Mini NES.
I'd pre-order one but I've already got two ordered and that's enough for me.

Given the current trends of console manufacturers I would wait for the 4K version to be released :man:

Nintendo are a bygone games company. The only exciting thing they can do is re-release old games. RIP

This is RRP?

From most of the gaming/tech news sites this item is £7.99 which seems to be the only price, early days yet I think.

And? It's still a deal, imo. £7.99 is a great price for an NES controller albeit it's CCP-version.
GameStop has it for £9.97 or something and that's if you're buying over £20 orders otherwise the shipping will cost £2.00. It was also in stock at Zavvi a few days ago but not anymore.
It's the Wii Classic Controller Pro port so you can connect these NES controllers to your Wiimote instead.
As stated before, this is available also at GameStop and was on Zavvi too.
Hopefully that'll be the case unless it sells out.

Never heard it called the CCP port before. Is that its actual name?

Wii remote expansion port.
aka bit you stick the nunchuk in.
I guess some recent news sites think it's trendy to give it an acronym and call it the classic controller port, something most people never used it for.
Oddly both the classic controller and the pro version had ceased production a few years back. They could have made better use of it as the controller as it is really nice to use.

When I was in store I recall seeing a "game exclusive" on the poster they had I think referring to the controller

They say that, but I don't think it includes online retailers

Just wait until the end of the year. Heard a little rumour that there's a HD SNES being released. Same style as the original, 32GB hard drive, WiFi/Ethernet, connected to the Nintendo store and you can run Nes/SNES/GC games.

Where'd you heard that rumour? People have been talking about a Mini SNES after Nintendo announcing the Mini NES but that's a new rumour.

id buy that although having no cartridge to insert and blow every now and again takes away the retro experience. when you have access to all games so easy makes you not want to play a certain game for hours or days :man:

Can I use wii controllers for the mini nes?

Yes, you can use CCP controllers on the Mini NES but that wouldn't be the authentic experience.
I get what you're saying but I'm happy to pay it at this price.

Yes, but not all of them - only classic controllers.

I'm not trying to be an ass but with your logic HUKD would just be full of RRP prices. I understand people's excitement but just wait. Why would retailers feel the need to drop prices when they see deals like this go hot? Most retailers visit this site I'm sure and that is how we end up with competitive prices. RRP doesn't really help anyone.

I got this and the unit for £51.84 at Zavvi using a preorder discount code  Can't wait.
