The Surface 3 (RRP £419 on the Microsoft Store, £405 on Amazon) is considered the first Surface which Microsoft have got right due to much improved kickstand.
9/10 on trusted reviews - full HD touchscreen, Quad-core Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor, it includes front and rear cameras, full Windows 10 (no Windows RT anymore), microSD camera slot and USB 3. Lots of accessories are available including a pen.

£329 for the 4Gb RAM, 128Gb drive option
amazing price... i found loads on sale and found the reviews to be meh on these models..
however the reviews on the i5 and i7 models were really brilliant.. and you couldn't find any of them for sale.. seems like the i5 and i7 ones are the keepers!
and the atom and i3 processor ones with weak cpus and low ram were generally sold off in the first few days...
something to bear in mind....

The 'i5 and i7 models' are the Surface Pro line.
This is the Surface. Non-Pro. Smaller screen, three-point kickstand. Less powerful with a smaller 10" screen but with MicroUSB charging.

I was looking to get an upgrade to my linx 10 and found the surface range very interesting and ended down the endless hole of the famous auction site many hours later...
that was the result of my browsing i wanted to share.
I like my linx 10 but found the cpu ( atom based) lacking and 2gb of ram barely ok if needed for anything other than casual browsing.

I'm not sure but I guess so. I dont think they monitor it. But the article did think this wouldnt be around forever.
Another thing might be to find someone who downloaded it onto a USB stick. I have loads of PCs at home so I did it that way and upgraded all of mine without downloading it all again every time. I've wiped mine now otherwise I could have uploaded it onto my cloud space and given you the link.
