Do it Do it Do it!! Krakow is STUNNING!!!!! Auschwitz is hugely sobering.... I recommend getting into the old Jewish quarter of Krakow and finding some of the traditional jazz - kezler jazz. When you find out that about 2000 Jews survived out of 60,000, man....that hits hard.
Be warned though, you might find that you meet people and learn things that make you sympathise with the EU ideals. I'd hate for any of you little Englanders to go and get educated on what the great wild world actually entails. Suggest if you're keen to "retain your sovereignty", you pass this over and hit up a nice secluded all-inclusive somewhere. #still #ashamed

What do you think, I mean really you do not know the answer ? You will be forced to go there? that would not happen for oh so many obvious reasons

Oh get over it!
One does not need to be a citizen in the EU to experience other cultures and history!
How about you learn exactly what the EU is and stands for before you continue throwing the toys out of the pram.

I went last December. Beautiful polish city, right up there with Prague and Budapest for me. It was a large coat and wooly hat weather when I went, but they had all the Christmas markets set up with hot apple cider and mulled wine, so it wasn't too bad.
The Auschwitz tour is definitely a sobering experience, but an enriching experience nontheless. All in all, this is a smashing deal for people looking for a weekend getaway to an amazing city in Europe.
P.s. great bars/night life. Everything is really cheap too. Damn, now I really want to go back.

Great city, lovely people, great price and the Auschwitz Birkenau visit, although sobering is something everyone should do. The salt mines are are really good too. Thanks for posting. Heat.
