It looks like Kenwood are part of Currys nowadays though. But still i think this is decent value for money. I think someone mentioned they thought Hi-Sense made these (not 100% on that)

Problem is, it is very difficult to know for most of us what a 'proper' brand is anymore.
It has happened with the TV industry on a huge scale, but I have an understanding of that. But I haven't got a clue buying White appliances whether I'm buying the equivalant of a 'Vestel'!

The fridge is made by AMICA (polish) which is a huge global manufacturer.
Actually the advantage of these "badged" products is that the parts are used across "brands" and are widely available. Also the layout is usually very simple so your local appliance engineer (or yourself) can do the work easily. Full spare parts catalogue is available:
they only deliver this stuff on GF's unless there is a lift

DSG simply lease the name from Kenwood. There is a label inside saying that all support is from DSG (which makes sense as kenwood have never been involved in fridge manufacture for 30 years)

Basically this has been made with the cheapest chinese parts available.
Pay a little more for something more reliable from a real manufacturer rather than a label plastered onto another companies product.

good price for one of these but no ice maker would be a deal breaker for me.

Ice maker normally takes up room in the inside so it's better without one.

Bought this a few months ago when it cost slightly more. Very happy with it as we didn't want a water dispenser and it's quite hard to buy one this size without one. It's quite quiet, lots of space. It's deep though so unless you have entry through patio doors the delivery men will have to take your kitchen door off. We couldn't find anything of similar size for the money.
Argos do the same item branded as Bush (?), so might be worth checking their price.

I bought this a couple months ago £40 more on top of OP's post. We are very happy with this purchase :sunglasses:

I have had a kenwood fridge freezer, not american style though. It has a water dispenser, great size fridge, good size freezer. Had it about 4 months and its really good.
