Looks like a decent price for this, reviews are really positive for this model too. 9.1 / 10 based on 195 reviews
It looks like Kenwood are part of Currys nowadays though. But still i think this is decent value for money. I think someone mentioned they thought Hi-Sense made these (not 100% on that)

Problem is, it is very difficult to know for most of us what a 'proper' brand is anymore.
It has happened with the TV industry on a huge scale, but I have an understanding of that. But I haven't got a clue buying White appliances whether I'm buying the equivalant of a 'Vestel'!

The fridge is made by AMICA (polish) which is a huge global manufacturer.
Actually the advantage of these "badged" products is that the parts are used across "brands" and are widely available. Also the layout is usually very simple so your local appliance engineer (or yourself) can do the work easily. Full spare parts catalogue is available:
Wont except the code Informed by currys stockport that the code range 100 is only for range cockers, only
The f/freezer isn't £369 but £469 unless someone can say different !!

You people are strange. I work for haier, we make for CDA, Capel, Hotpoint, Hoover, Range master, Bush, did make logixx for Argos, own Fisher Paykal and GE. It's the number one white goods brand. O I forgot we make Haier as well....Brands use any factory they can now and vestel makes all the really cheap stuff

Not so difficult to find by searching the model number is it?
Love the reviews you've shown where the chap left a negative as 'had to leave the freezer to stand for 6 hours' - THAT'S WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO WITH FREEZERS - jeez, what did you do before? Did mummy buy it for you? :stuck_out_tongue:

Unfortunately a "real" manufacturer is no guarantee of reliability or quality ask anyone unfortunate enough to have bought a Samsung RSH1 american fridge freezer. Samsung denied there was a design problem causing the fridge to ice up and left owners in the lurch.

I tend to go with brands offering the longest warranties as standard.
Samsung seems to be into everything in a big way atm, their washing machines, dryers and fridge freezers all look very good.
If your looking to buy cheap then go with a recommended chinese brand like hisense.

good price for one of these but no ice maker would be a deal breaker for me.

Ice maker normally takes up room in the inside so it's better without one.

It's a generic fridge freezer branded with Kenwood for sale in Currys. Currys do quite a few things that are generic with a Kenwood badge on it. Once bought a Kenwood branded microwave from Currys, and seen the exact same one in Tesco's sold under their label. So you may even find the same Fridge Freezer under another brand cheaper if you look around.

I have had a kenwood fridge freezer, not american style though. It has a water dispenser, great size fridge, good size freezer. Had it about 4 months and its really good.

DSG simply lease the name from Kenwood. There is a label inside saying that all support is from DSG (which makes sense as kenwood have never been involved in fridge manufacture for 30 years)

Basically this has been made with the cheapest chinese parts available.
Pay a little more for something more reliable from a real manufacturer rather than a label plastered onto another companies product.

Bought this a few months ago when it cost slightly more. Very happy with it as we didn't want a water dispenser and it's quite hard to buy one this size without one. It's quite quiet, lots of space. It's deep though so unless you have entry through patio doors the delivery men will have to take your kitchen door off. We couldn't find anything of similar size for the money.
Argos do the same item branded as Bush (?), so might be worth checking their price.
