Stunning countryside, great weather, the French Alps, culture, great wine to name a few.
Or we could all sit at home reading the daily mail in our onesies fearing being attacked by immigrants at Calais and blown up by radical Islamist's further down the road.
I know what I'd rather do.

Just got back from Picardy and its stunning, living on a small island, you forget how wide and open the countryside is over the channel.

Two days ago went to france , long queue at dfds we had p&o nearly no queue. At the time of booking was same price but time suited better.
If going add an hour queuein before getting onto ferry due security searches. Average wait was 40 minutes at 10pm...

£28 each way on a boat taking 90+ minutes or £30 each way on the channel tunnel in 35 minutes.... I know which I would choose.

Never seen them that cheap apart from day return. Usually the lowest I find is £59 each way.
