Just to let you know that the same thing has happened to me and my girlfriend. They didn't send me a ebay message or email but i checked the bottom of my ebay selling page and the offer is there so ideal. Thanks OP!

Despite what many people on forums think, ebay is a business and there's usually a reason for everything they do, even if it appears crazy to the rest of us.
In this case, they might well be trying to encourage casual sellers to list more stuff with the high fvf discount, as regular sellers will carry on whatever happens.
I have been getting 100 free listings every day for the past few months, as well as many of the fvf promos like this one, so perhaps they will revert to giving different sellers the same promo, but at different times, which happened a lot last year.
I look at my seller dashboard every day, as things have changed so much on ebay that a promo can start at almost any time, and not only weekends.
