Was going to go for this deal the other day at jessops but the deal ended just as I went to purchase it.Lucky for me the next day argos was doing the same deal.
The price is £399.99 but canon are offering £40 cash back and 100gb of cloud storage, also argos are giving away a free canon bag worth £39.99,but you must scroll down to the offers and make sure you add to the basket the deal that is for the camera AND bag.

I only posted this deal to help another member out,as I do not know the ins and outs of each camera.
A guy posted up that he wished that a deal at Jessops was still running as clearly he wanted the camera and the deal had ended (see link below),but me being such a nice person I went out of my way to post up the same deal to help the guy out as I noticed Argos were offering the same.
it might be a deals site but it's still nice that people give their opinions.

why not Nikon D3300?
Its lighter, newer, more screen resolution (24MP vs 18 MP), better ISO performance and above all its cheaper.
Almost forgot - Nikon D3300 has 11 focus points against 700D's 9 focus points.

Some people prefer Canon. I have been using both systems from the time of the Nikon D70 and Canon EOS 10D and in terms of prices of lenses, Canon usually comes out cheaper e.g. the fast 1.8F lens is only £60 vs triple for the Nikon equivalent. In terms of performance, I'd say it's as much a matter of user preference as of actual differences in performance.
Do note that the 700D's 9 focus points are all of the cross-type variety, compared to only 3 of the 11 in the D3300 - I know which one will give me faster auto focus in a bind!!
Also do note resolution isn't everything - the lower resolution 18MP sensor in the EOS700D has been reviewed to be capable of resolving better detail than the 24MP sensor in the Nikon D5200 (itself a superior camera to the D3300):
The EOS700D is a superb camera; apart all 9 of the focus points being of the cross-type variety, it also has a touch screen 1.04K flip out LCD screen (a huge plus when you're shooting in Live View, say over the heads of the crowd at a festival!), phase detection auto focus in video mode, and HDR in camera - these features are missing in the Nikon D3300. The latter however has several features going for it over the Canon, including better low noise high ISO performance, better colour depth, higher native sensor resolution, 8 vs 5 FPS continuous shooting etc.

It's a bit old. I had one of these a couple of years back and loved it but the 18mp sensor is ancient, and not amazing in anything but great light.
Good camera though, at the price.

Just out of interest, how do you get the 100gb cloud storage please?
Is that something Canon offers to their customers? - I have a 600D and would love a 100gb of cloud storage ;-)
