I have this very laptop I payed just over £1200 for it. it's solid and it has excellent cooling, I will never use a dell again :smile:

Isn't this the one without an IPS screen? It's a great price, but the screen's held me back. And the keyboard. I'm allergic to chiclets... though nobody seems to make a proper laptop keyboard any more, so I may have to build up my tolerance or settle for playing Torchlight 2 on my X220 forever. :-)

Ah, ok. So many laptops, so many confusing variants. I keep Googling one laptop and not noticing other variants cropping up in the results. The CPU compares pretty well with the 6700 as well, which is blurring what I thought were fixed parameters on my shopping list. Was happy with a 960 and 6700, but now....
Well, now it's too hot to be running a gaming laptop! :-)

Wow, decent 970 comes down to my asking price and its 17"! Typical! Need a 15 for travelling to work ideally... Still might bite!

changing the keyboard is possible but really not fun on this owing to the backlit keys - I ahem bought a cheap one from Asus refurb off ebay without noticing it had a Mexican keyboard. Must think before clicking buy in future!
Great laptop though - fast, quiet and cool ...
