I may have been lucky but the staff in Halfords bike dept in Cambridge were very helpful and friendly.

Yes, and I voted to leave Europe completely and relocate the UK to a hot and sunnier place.
And you know what, It's happened today.
Can't get better than that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes if all bikes bought are the same price. You pay 100% for 4 bikes at the same price and the 5th bike will be 100% off I. e. free. Go for it!

Cheapest I've ever seen for the Voodoo Bizango. £479.99 with the 20% off, I paid £540 for it in February and love it
Also, cheapest I have seen for the Carrera Vanquish at £263.99, I am in the process of buying it at £269.99.
If I hadn't already, I would be getting them at this price. A steal for the Bizango

The Carrera Crossfire E, electric bike, was a reasonable good deal at £1K.... now at £800 its a great deal. Men & womens frames and three different sizes.
Hydraulic brakes and although the battery is stated as 9amp/hr, its actually 11.6amp/hr.

I have often thought about an electric bike, as since a heart attack I lack a bit of puff. I have always hesitated though as I'd be so worried about it being stolen when left in town.

For once Halfords seem to be giving a genuine extra 20% off.
I've been looking for a mountain bike for my wife.
Some of the bikes have never been cheaper. I chose the Carrera Vengeance 2015 model as it has a better spec than the new 2016 version.
At £200 it's even cheaper than the £215 I paid back at the beginning of May for my daughter, who has been very happy with it.
The main differences from the Vengeance are that it has the lower spec Shimano Tourney gears and V Brakes. Personally I recommend spending the extra £40 for the disc brakes and Shimano Altus gears, but both bikes are perfectly good entry level bikes. You would have to spend significantly more money than the Vengeance to get a better spec.
Unfortunately, the Men's versions of both bikes are £40 dearer.
British Cycling Club 10% discount already mentioned, plus many people have access to work discount voucher schemes. Our one currently gives 10% off Halfords gift card purchases.
