Any idea if they let you swap for a different cylinder on future purchases? I prefer propane so if I could swap bottles at no cost when it runs out I may order one.

Propane incurs a cylinder deposit charge unfortunately.

I swapped out an 11kg leisure propane for a 13kg butane, no questions asked. He was just about to say about the regulator difference when I stepped and said I had both. That was last week. they let me swap a different bottle the year before as well
I realise that but Calor dealers let you swap any bottle for any other one (size or gas type irrelevant) when you buy a refill. I was wondering if they offer the same deal so once it runs out I can swap for propane. Nothing on the website in FAQ's so I've emailed them.

They won't swap cylinder types, I've asked them previously, propane incurs a deposit charge, no exceptions they said.
Calor will allow you to swap cylinder types but ultimately costs the end user through deposit charges.

Shame, they just lost a sale and repeat customer...until I find the right cylinder at the dump that is!

Best bet is Gumtree for a used cylinder, scrapyards (if thats what you mean by 'dump'?) cannot take gas cylinders unless the valve is removed, thus deeming them useless.

They have a cage full of them at my local dump...I'm not convinced those that are leaving them there are all removing valves beforehand!
