Thought this was a cracking deal as my ID contract was ending. I was lucky enough last year to get the Huawei P8 on a 1 year deal from Id Mobile. The phone is great and ID coverage has been great as well. I can't see a better deal out there (cashback - no thanks) as I have no requirement to change my phone. The ID app is pretty good also, though it can be temperamental on occasion!
The link is to there SIM only deals as there seems to be decent offers at the moment.
You forgot to tell people the data goes back to 500mb after 12mths

Great features of iD Mobile include:
* Double or triple charges on your monthly bills!
* Charges for things you didn't even use!
* A massively unreliable account management system!
* A website that's frequently inaccessible!
* Utterly clueless South-Africa-based call centre staff!
* Generally abominable customer service!

Hi, have you actually taken up this offer? I'm in the same boat having got the P8 last year, but ID won't let me swap to a different plan without ending my contract first and then rejoining (apparently they can't just transfer you over). If they've moved you to a new contract I'd like know, as would stay within but not paying £21 a month for 1gb data.

good luck joining new contract. they kicked me out after i just wanted to swap to a different plan. they told me to leave first, which i did then rejoin.but after i submit a new contract, they just keep refusing my application due to credit check.
i dont own any debts. it is only a £5 contract. i dont know what are their problem.

Maybe you should have just took the new contract out before cancelling the old one for the sake of a couple of quid
Its true you cannot upgrade you have to leave and then go back.
Trouble is its a bit hit and miss whether you can get a contract with any network at the moment and its nothing to do with having good or bad credit you can have a perfect credit and still get refused.
Lots of people have been going over to life mobile and lots of people have been refused the contract like i say even with excellent credit so your not guaranteed of getting a contract.

My wife had a similar issue with another company, despite never having been in debt for her whole life. Turned out that she did not have a bad credit rating but she simply did not have a rating at all, positive or negative. As far as credit companies are concerned if they don,t know you exist because you never ever had any form of debt, then they treat you negatively which is a serious shortcoming on their part, since they could not be more wrong.

It's been posted many times in the past. Nothing in the last month but at least 5 times before.

They are ok if 3 work for you and you don't ask them for anything complex.
Annoyingly, that their alerts don't recognise the double data and will warn you when you've used most and all of the original amount.
Also, their non-EU roaming costs are extortionate e.g. Canada is £5 per minute outgoing, £1.25 incoming and £1 per text message.

nice deal. only problem is my last contract with them they kept taking payments for months after I ended my contract and then sent a collection letter after I cancelled the direct debit. Seem pretty useless although they were always friendly on the phone (just couldn't do their job)

This deal is pretty old. I got this over 4 months ago now, but it's still a dam good deal and have no regrets so far!
