Really good wireless Yale alarm, easy fit, lowest price it has been. Great reviews.

+1 great kit. You'll need more remotes though as using the panel isn't the easiest. We use a remote to turn on/off at night/in the morning and when we come and go from the house. This being a 'Telecommunication' kit, will ring you if the alarm is triggered when you're out.
Same price at Costco by the way...
EDIT: Oh an talking of the panel... it's loud... it's VERY LOUD!

Got this for £140 from ironmongerydirect and it's been great. Easy setup with no false alarms

Can the bell box be hard wired?

How often do batteries have to be replaced in the individual units.
Is that not a faff?

No, it can't be hard wired.
My alarm box is about 20m from the control panel and it gets about 70% signal (which is good). Great alarm system though, easy to setup and works perfectly with accessories. I prefer the door contacts to the room sensors which take a few seconds to activate the alarm after you've walked in the room and they don't seem to cover the whole room in my house anyway.
