I loved this series but I lost the will to live after 6 series. No-one believed it just went on too long for me. I gave you some heat 150 hours of Entertainment is good.

Yes for me it was great Seasons 1-5, but after that it just went downhill more and more. Was still the odd decent episode but a lot of rubbish.

Did anyone make it through all the way? I've been rewatching it, wondering if I should bother after mulder leaves

Don't bother after Mulder leaves. Waste of time.

If anyone buys it, ensure you at least check Season Eight for the mastering fault that affects viewing leading to a crushing of black levels, who knows how many of these are still in circulation. I had replacement discs from FOX myself.
Usually I never agree when people say a show went on for too long as I tend to still enjoy the episodes/characters however I've owned the dvd boxset for over 10 years now and don't think I've ever made it past season 6. I get to that point and then lose interest. Then when I decide to watch it again like a year later I'll start from season 1 and the same thing happens. Thats happened so many times! I just started watching it again now from the start and am determined to make it to the end seeing as they just released season 10 (which I have heard is pretty good) but I don't want to watch it until I've seen the previous few! Wish me luck!

I would say 1-6. There are some absolute classics in season 6.
