Just borrowed a blu ray version from a friend and its way better than the Amazon. Prime HD version.
Its not too bad on a 42 " telly but on my 55" telly the artefacts are very annoying on prime ( I suspect that they might be using some weird compression algorithm )
I'm still going to.wait till these are below £50

Yes found it Widescreen 1080P goodness. I have Prime but just didn't realise it had been added. As I've been holding off buying this set until it drops more in price I can just watch it on Prime now.

Its there . I've started watching the wide-screen version from the beginning . I've been put off watching X files as the earlier seasons used to be non wide-screen but now they are great.

Not planning to buy it as I have the dvd box set and don't have a blu ray player. . However just a heads up that its available on amazon prime video if you have a prime membership.
Thanks to the OP for posting the deal as its great value for someone looking to collect it on blu ray.Voted hot .

Brilliant series but they messed up the new stuff :disappointed:
Original is best so worth buying at this price

I would say 1-6. There are some absolute classics in season 6.

Usually I never agree when people say a show went on for too long as I tend to still enjoy the episodes/characters however I've owned the dvd boxset for over 10 years now and don't think I've ever made it past season 6. I get to that point and then lose interest. Then when I decide to watch it again like a year later I'll start from season 1 and the same thing happens. Thats happened so many times! I just started watching it again now from the start and am determined to make it to the end seeing as they just released season 10 (which I have heard is pretty good) but I don't want to watch it until I've seen the previous few! Wish me luck!

If anyone buys it, ensure you at least check Season Eight for the mastering fault that affects viewing leading to a crushing of black levels, who knows how many of these are still in circulation. I had replacement discs from FOX myself.
Did anyone make it through all the way? I've been rewatching it, wondering if I should bother after mulder leaves

Don't bother after Mulder leaves. Waste of time.

I loved this series but I lost the will to live after 6 series. No-one believed it just went on too long for me. I gave you some heat 150 hours of Entertainment is good.

Yes for me it was great Seasons 1-5, but after that it just went downhill more and more. Was still the odd decent episode but a lot of rubbish.
