Thanks for posting, Just to clarify I've had a number of sets of expensive ear phones as well as headphones from the likes of Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, UE, Sony and Audio Technica.I don't profess to be an audiophile however I do like to think I know the difference between clarity...muddyness and flat sounding stuff etc.....
I pick up a set of these today from Argos in black for £4 more. Opening the box I was greeted with a nice sturdy inner box with a bit more quality than some stuff you buy. First impressions the headphones look great in black in my opinion, the red and brushed silver really set them off. They don't look cheap or naff, definitely more of a premium looking and feeling product. The ear cups swivel and move about buttery smooth. They are very light and the faux leather cushions and headband are really nice and soft. The extension and folding mechanisms all look well made and have metal components instead of plastic. Yes you could break them if you're ham fisted but if you take care of your stuff they should last you a long while. I don't have the problem of them feeling like they are falling off when leaning forward and after over an hours use my ears weren't too hot nor did they hurt in any way. They are very comfy headphones.
I tried them with my PS4/Xbox One and then with my phone, sony walkman and finally the pc with some flac files.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound. They lack a tiny bit of clarity with music but that's soon sorted with tweaking the eq a little increasing the treble just a touch. I didn't believe the claim of 5hz on the lower end however they are actually pretty bassy. For gaming this is brilliant as I think you want that with rumbling engines or shooting and explosions. For music the bass is good in some stuff but can sound a little muddy/overpowering in other songs. Yet again I just tweaked the eq down slightly on the low end and then they sounded great. Bare in mind these are only little tweaks I'm making to the EQ. By no means would I say these sound bad straight out the box. Don't forget as well that headphones will need to burn in with use to reveal their true potential.
I'd be happy if I'd paid £70-£80 for these to be fair so I'm more than happy at this bargain price.
Don't many reviews on here but was happy with these so hope this helps someone else out. Thanks for posting the deal

Got these free with phone, they're OK. Slightly better quality than a 20 quid sennheiser but I hope nobody paid RRP :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for that... I'd say it was pretty relevant considering that is the price they were when they were being reviewed.

Good price, but the RRP is way off the mark. Besides, shows as 'was £39.99' on Argos website.
Heat added anyway. Great headphones too
