I think not, (that's the East Coast service). Yesterday I just booked an open return to Edinburgh with Virgin as going up for the end of the festival and then probably going to spend a week or so exploring the Highlands, etc.
Best open return was £135, kind of okay as I may well be coming back after 5th September.
This West Coast deal is a good deal for London to Glasgow for £14, as Glasgow to Edinburgh is only about £12 ish (?), and I think that was return too.
I did that myself a couple of years ago, good regular service.
As such it has indeed been included in previous Virgin Trains West Coast sales. What you won't find is a Sale ticket routed "to Edinburgh via Glasgow Central" as Virgin don't run services on any connection from Glasgow to/fro Edinburgh, but others have given you ideas above for routing via Glasgow if the 2 hourly direct Edinburgh doesn't suit.
The OP's reported Summer Sale has NOT started yet - it's stated to be from Tue 5/7 to Thu 7/7. The only link provided so far is to their last Sale link - ie Spring Sale which long since ended.

You can get to Edinburgh on the West Coast mainline too, it just takes longer (around an hour longer from London compared to East Coast). Did it a few months back when they were offering £35 first class tickets.
I don't know if Edinburgh is a destination included in this sale, though.

Good rail links between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Glasgow Central - Edinburgh Waverly.
Glasgow Queen Street - Edinburgh Waverly (Quickest and short walk from Glas' Cent' ).

also there is a megabus/citylink (Stagecoach owned both of them) from glasgiw to edinburgh each way takes only 10mins more than train and they're every 15mins all day long and only £1 booking in advance for specific times. All 100 journeys in a day will be £1 usually.
