I guarantee the people complaining this is expensive, will be the people who spend £60 a month on an iPhone contract and think that's great!

Problem could have been rectified with a condom. Don't blame the poor C1. :disappointed:

That's hardly the cars fault is it?

Do you keep the car at the end? It's a lot of money if you just have to give it back.

No, and it's not a lot of money compared to the amount you would have to find (borrow?) if you decided to buy instead, and the cost of depreciation over the same two year period.

Whilst it may seem expensive if you buy used cars, if you want to drive a new car this deal seems to cost much less than the 2 year depreciation if you bought the same car. Cars are much less likely to go wrong in their first couple of years and even if they do they're under warranty. You could buy a used car for £2000 and it could last you 10 years or it could last you 10 months.

It's 2k for a brand new vehicle. Of course you don't keep it! Where do you think you can buy a new car for 2 grand?

Seems a great deal but I think the other one may be more expensive because it was a turbo engine.

Anyone know what maintenance you'll likely be exposed to on this?

Depends if you have to use Mercedes/Smart dealers to have servicing done, i'm on my 2nd smart car now and use independent garage to service it, last service was the bigger one (of the two) and still less than £200, but i'm not on a lease contract.
My 2010 model is diesel and i can get around 75 mpg from it including around town, free road tax and cheap to insure.
I'm not sure what the economy of the latest model is like, with smart seemingly moving away from automatics, i don't intend getting a 3rd.

LOL. You'd have to pay me £1,979.00 to drive that around.

Here we go again with the old buy lease debate

This does seem like a good deal for a new car and unbelievably cheap motoring! Though it's, let's say, quite a 'divisive' car to drive!

But you can guarantee that nearly everyone who is against it have never driven it.
