I have one of these nearly £200 year or so ago. Brilliant product beats any dyson no problem. Had a few issues with things braking contact shark and they just replaced with a new one great c/service

Just so everybody knows this one still lifts away using the blue button down the side but it's not clearly advertised as such .

Glad it does as its very handy. Was gonna buy the Shark 680 true pet lift away but this one is good enough for my needs. It is a little heavy but easy to move. Not as easy on carpet as the suction is so good.
It picked up so much even though I vacuumed yesterday I was very surprised.

The 680 is amazing, goes right under the furniture and has adjustable suction but for £79.99 this is exceptional value. And yes it's shocking how much more a Shark picks up!

I had one of these demonstrated to me last weekend. It was ok but they need to go a bit further with the design. It's a bit fiddly with all the detaching and re attaching. What they should do is have a combination of having an upright and a cylinder. Best if both worlds. It's nearly there but not quite. I have reserved one and given heat because it's definitely a hot deal at this money.

That's precisely what the Powered Lift Away (NV680) is there for, gives you all the power of an upright but the convenience of a cylinder/lift away vacuum. It doesn't have to be fiddly, they're just trying to cover all bases with the versatility, and it's nice to know that those features are available if you wish to use them. This model isn't quite AS versatile but it gets the job done well without breaking the bank.

I was in Currys last Sunday and the Shark rep was demonstrating the hoovers and I mentioned to her about having an upright / cylinder combined. She might have showed me that one but the design wasn't right as the hose was too short. I will have a look tomorrow when I collect the 480. I didn't take too much notice tbh as it was hot and their aircon wasn't working !!I tried the HV320 as I thought that would be good for the car but it was rubbish as the suction was poor in my opinion. I will see tomorrow what the 480 is like as none of the adverts says it is a lift away model which is surprising when the ads for the others do state lift away. My only concern is it only has a B for performance where our Vax has an A.

The HV320 suction isn't really an issue because even the handheld turbo brush is motorised, ask for some dust on the carpet and try the hand vac with the motorised tool on and you'll be shocked at how well it picks up! The performance ratings aren't really an issue, Shark vacuum cleaners (including the 480) are sealed systems so the dirt can't escape whereas the Vax even with a HEPA filter can still let dust back out, there's no point having max pickup if the dust can get back out! I'm an asthma sufferer so the Shark is a no brainer for me, plus the build quality is far superior, just remember the lift out button on the 480 is on the side, not an official 'lift-away' model but still capable, hope you like it!
