Good price. Can you imagine going back to the manufacturer after 14 years because of a fault. Have some heat...

Yes, but good luck if you do have to claim - they will want to see an original receipt.

The read out seems very close to the centre of the scale , which seems a bit odd

Im unsure if the scales on offer here are going to be practable.
I bought these and they are useless for anything bigger than a cereal bowl for reading the display. They just sit in the cupboard gathering dust.
This set looks worse.

Also that LCD looks like it's recessed and not smooth. Which means in our house it's going to get all sorts of flour and sugar stuck down in there! The best scales I bought a few years ago were Brabantia hanging scales for about £12.
The display is quite big and has Indiglo illumination so it's really easy and clear to read. Takes 2 x AAA batteries so they last like ages (Still on the 1st set). Plus I can hang it (as it has a top hook receptacle) on my kitchen hooks with my utensils etc. Has the usual Tare (add + weigh features etc), and measures in Lbs Kgs and millilitres. Although my lad tells me that 1g = 1 millilitre of liquid - DOH! All these years I needed scales that weigh liquid.
