Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been officially announced by Bethesda, and I'm more than happy and can't wait to get back into it.
I'm taking one for the team. But this is definitely in my price range, granted that lower would be better.
Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, Skyrim Special Edition brings the epic fantasy to life in stunning detail. The Special Edition includes the critically acclaimed game and add-ons with all-new features like remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections, and more. Skyrim Special Edition also brings the full power of PC mods to consoles. New quests, environments, characters, dialogue, armor, weapons and more - with Mods, there are no limits to what you can experience.
According to Base.com and Shopto the standard price is £39.85(99)
EDIT: Credit to lyricalrom, Simply Games have now listed it at £32.85!

The only thing more laughable than the RRP of these "remasters" is how reliably they appear as "bargains" on HUKD.

I was going to buy this, but then I took an arrow in the knee...

1) Nobody is forcing you to buy them (though people clearly do, in massive quantities, otherwise the trend would die off).
2) Generally speaking, well-loved games are remastered for people who never had a chance to play them on their original platforms. They're not remastering bad games (mostly) - I'd take a remaster of a good game over a mediocre new IP any day.
3) The entire game industry is about making money from us! Developers/publishers/retailers aren't doing all this out of the kindness of their stone cold capitalist hearts!
4) Some of the finest games I've played recently have been remasters: Gravity Rush (which many people would never have played without it because, sadly, hardly anyone has a Vita), Resident Evil, The Last of Us, Valkyria Chronicles, DmC, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin.
5) Remasters are often the cheapest way of buying games with all their added content and fix problems which may have plagued the original without remedy (again, DmC is a good example of that).
I really don't know why people get so upset about it.

I think for a game that's looks to be completely remastered, all DLC included and mod support for consoles, this is a good deal. Heat added.

We need a cheap Skyrim Legendary edition for Steam too so we can get the free upgrade. Prices will probably start going up

£7.50 at Opium Pulses, seems an alright price. I'm the only one who has never played this game so £7.50 seems like a bargain.

Seems a little bit steep for a game that is nearly 5 years old. Don't get me wrong I have no issues with remasters. But they should cost no more than £30 imo. Look at Dead Island sure there not the best games. But they did a decent job at remastering both games. Plus both for £25 or less.

Skyrim amazing game, but I am getting fed up of re-masters. Its just a cheap way to make more money from games, by re-texturing them!

I'll wait for a price drop. Remasters don't hold their price for long.

This explains why Skyrim didn't yet make it to backwards compat. ****.

Heat for the price but as an E3 announcement this was actually dissapointed.
Never played it and probably never will so not judging the game on what it is.

Heat, it doesn't help when every E3 announcement is leaked by the press eager to ruin it for people who don't want spoilers, hard to avoid given they are all over most gaming related websites.
Looking forward to this on PS4 as never played the PS3 version, even though it's sat on my shelf.
