Unfortunately the offer is not for the digital display version as pictured above. Paid same price for the digital one 18 months ago from John Lewis with 5 year guarantee

Would like to know how these compare to a deep fat fryer. I know they are healthier but can they cook proper chips etc.

They cook chips which taste just as good as deep fried only they tend to stick to each other a lot so it is recommended to give the basket a shake around halfway

Are they good for only chips or things like fish fingers and other asian foods

my chips don't stick together at all, yes great for fish fingers, chicken nuggets, onion rings, waffles are great too, chicken wings, breasts, or legs, the list goes on and on, for me everything taste better ie less fat in it. you'd be surprised how much fat drops of nuggets and fish fingers.

I stick our airfryer in the dishwasher.

Agreed I'm wondering if they're worth the hassle over a normal pan of oil, much easier to clean and not sure deep frying uses that much more oil as it doesn't need topping up that often.

It heats up quicker than our full-sized oven so I don't think it uses too much electricity. I use our airfryer for roasting veg and warming up bread (as well as chips etc). It's great.
