no mention of nfc which would be a huge fail given android pay.

If you dont care about NFC or you can live with 3GB RAM instead of 4, i would suggest getting the redmi note 3 over this, its better in every way if your willing to do a bit of work, its almost half price if buying from china, even buying the marked up one in the UK is cheaper.then this by over £50.
The specs comparison between them has the redmi note 3 spanking this all day, benchmarks and even real world performance tests prove this, unless you really want a stockish rom without working for it or 4 vs 3GB RAM get the redmi note.
Motorola messed up putting in a snapdragon 616 in this, its barely a an upgrade from the 615

Not for me, Google Pay is insignificant as it easy enough to use my card as I already do. Or sellotape it to the back if I really want to pay with my phone.
Now to waterproof one of these is going to add considerable bulk and if you are already used to it then it will soon be missed.
*Or look a lot messier sticking waterproof tape all over it ;-)
I would say they are trying to kill the traditional G market off and push them over to the lenovo branding...

Call me an old reactionary if you like but I think I would prefer not to be able to pay for things with my phone - I lose it far more often than I lose my cards!

Just for everyone's benefit, i bought the 16GB Moto G4 last week, it arrived and has dual sim as standard.
I did go through motomaker and just customised the greeting message, the phone arrived quicker than the delivery time promised within 5 days! No NFC but an excellent buy at £159. Is really fast and camera is super!

just checked the reviews and it definately has no nfc. Sort of a big omission from a newly released phone.

And that slams the MotoG 150quid over the MotoG budget price target.

No NFC (given they cost nowt and even the original nexus7 tablet had it way back when).
But then how would they sell the MotoX or whatever it'll be called.
And it's lost its waterproof rating ...
And..
Opening post
Looks like a lot of phone for a great price. Plus you can make it cheaper by lowering the Storage space if 64GB is too much.
