If you dont care about NFC or you can live with 3GB RAM instead of 4, i would suggest getting the redmi note 3 over this, its better in every way if your willing to do a bit of work, its almost half price if buying from china, even buying the marked up one in the UK is cheaper.then this by over £50.
The specs comparison between them has the redmi note 3 spanking this all day, benchmarks and even real world performance tests prove this, unless you really want a stockish rom without working for it or 4 vs 3GB RAM get the redmi note.
Motorola messed up putting in a snapdragon 616 in this, its barely a an upgrade from the 615

Not for me, Google Pay is insignificant as it easy enough to use my card as I already do. Or sellotape it to the back if I really want to pay with my phone.
Now to waterproof one of these is going to add considerable bulk and if you are already used to it then it will soon be missed.
*Or look a lot messier sticking waterproof tape all over it ;-)

More likely single sim were in production first.
Not really as this is the Moto G4 Plus which is the most expensive, the Moto G4 starts at £169.00 and G4 Play will be cheaper (not sure if this will be available UK?)

But OP, if you lower the internal storage, then you can only have the 2gb RAM version.
I've always been a big fan of the Moto G line - I bought the original one for my MOther as soon as it came out, but these phones are moving well away from what made the Moto G line great - solid, unspectacular specs at a super cheap price. They've gradually got more and more expensive and the 4gb plus model here is firmly in mid range territory and has very little to do with the Moto G's of the past. I guess it's all branding. After all, Motorola seem to be a long way behind Samsung and now, LG and have lots of other manufacturers snapping at their heals.

To join lthe argument about nfc and wireless charging, I have had phones with both and phones with none and I barely ever used either, my current phone has both... I much prefer faster charging over wireless charging tbh and Android pay while it might be interesting I find it hard to imagine many situations where it may be helpful, I mean most people take their card with them, and taking the phone out is about the same effort as taking the card.
Once phones can be used everywhere normal cards can then I would agree but that does not seem to be that close in my experience... (very few smaller shops accept nfc)

Believe me, you're just in your honeymoon period like I was 6 months ago. I made excuses for the terrible battery life.
But the simple answer is, 3000mah is terrible for this spec of a phone. Size of the screen doesn't help either. The only way I can cope now is to buy another turbocharger so I can charge at work during mid afternoon when I know the battery won't last me the way home.

Price seems to be £130. Nearly £30 cheaper as compared to Moto G4 and more options too.. How are you liking it in terms of performance and battery life?
Phone is good. All depends what you're comparing it to obviously but for £130 or whatever its an amazing phone for the money. Fast and snappy, excellent screen, good build quality etc. The only thing that's lacking IMO is the camera/video but then I'm used to the S5/S7 camera and you're not going to get that in a sub £200 phone. The main thing to avoid is the China ROM as it comes with alot of Chinese regional apps installed whereas the Global ROM has replaced it with the Google apps and is clean as a whistle.
Picard123
14 Jun 16#65
^ Battery life is also excellent as it's 4,000 mAh. You also have power scheduling so you can set it to switch into different power profiles at different times of day. You can also schedule the phone to automatically turn itself off and then back on again at a later time to save on battery life. There's also Doze.
Battery life is amazing... needed a dual sim so switched over from LG G4 which wouldn't make a day on a light use. Still got 50% life at the end of the day. Runs fine at 16gb and 2gb too.
Bargain at the price point...
