Picked up 200 set for £103 earlier when they had a flash sale and then c&c with BC 10% discount.

I've always had my tools supplied to me so can't comment on price but the bacho 1/4 and 1/2 inch drives sets are great. Mine are both 9 years old now with regular industrial use and they're still spot on.

Good price, nearly bought but noticed they are 12 point. A lot of the bolts I've had to get to under my car have been in danger of rounding off using 12 point sockets.

True, got this set, but rarely use it because of that :disappointed:

Great product, well made, great size to do most DIY jobs on the car. 3/8" is the most versatile socket set that you could have! Initially was worried about the sockets not being hexagonal, but on service parts (oil sump plug, oil filter) they are strong and well built that stripping nuts wasn't as issue

I don't even know why they make sockets that are 12 sided. They are certainly no good for brake calliper bolts and similar that are always mega tight and easy to strip. You would also think that a 6 sided socket would be cheaper to produce.

Is this any better than the Bahco S330 34 piece socket set ? Think the Bahco one is 6 point (though I may be wrong)

In a nutshell, no. The Bahco s330 3/8 set are 6 point wall drive and the bahco ratchets are considered better quality than the halfords ones. That being said the bahco set is twice the price of this one. This halfords set is very good value for money.

Great tools and never had any hassle when taking broken tools back unlike snap on or britool in the past...

What's the difference between the 1/4" set and the 3/8" set... Bit a newbie question.... As I see the 1/4" set has 6 point rather than 12...
