For newbies you will have to send proof of your identity. They wont pay up if you dont. They'll happily take your stake without proof though.

It's called anti money laundering measures. You can't be laundering until you actually take money away so they don't ask for the proof until that point. Could ask you upfront but they know the hassle would put a large proportion off signing up , so only ask when you have motivation to supply.

Don't think so, I did a similar bet to this during the World Cup 2014 with Coral and withdraw the winnings seconds after the bet was settled!
