Great device & a decent price, but you need to factor in the cost of the OS unless you are planning to use Linux or similar

No hdmi 2.0., soldered processor which cannot be upgraded. Negative from me. Cannot be used as multimedia box. I won't buy any hdmi 1.4 multimedia pc now as my TV has all hdmi 2.0 sockets. Must be old rubbish clear out by ebuyer.

And you use hdmi 2 for all your devices? If so you won't mind paying more for a newer device
I'm guessing this would run Kodi just fine.... what benefits would I have with a device like this one compared to a FireStick for instance? I'm getting annoyed with the Firestick's limited support for surround sound.

One of the more popular uses for boxes like these is to attach a big hard drive to it then install OpenELEC (and free add-ons) for a self-contained automaded movie and tv downloader + player.
Another popular use is to install an OS and use it to emulate older games. This would have no problem emulating the PS1, N64 etc.
Both popular uses are on the shady side of the law, but there you go.

This would be a whole lot better than the Celeron N3050 version they had on sale a few months ago.

Got price for older tech imo.
