The Raspberry Pi 3 is the third generation Raspberry Pi. It replaced the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B in February 2016. Compared to the Raspberry Pi 2 it has:
* A 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core ARMv8 CPU
* 802.11n Wireless LAN
* Bluetooth 4.1
* Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Like the Pi 2, it also has:
* 1GB RAM
* 4 USB ports
* 40 GPIO pins
* Full HDMI port
* Ethernet port
* Combined 3.5mm audio jack and composite video
* Camera interface (CSI)
* Display interface (DSI)
* Micro SD card slot (now push-pull rather than push-push)
* VideoCore IV 3D graphics core
* The Raspberry Pi 3 has an identical form factor to the previous Pi 2.

So much more to a Pi than just Kodi...
You can learn some Linux
Create a motion/heat/image sensor (I have setup a motion detection camera / cctv with mine)
Add an LED or TouchScreen display
Or even make a games console:

Heat added. All the sellers seem to match price now, or Amazon direct is 2p more

Quick questions:
Has this one got built in WiFi?
Can I use my smartphone changer to power it on?

Yes, WiFi is 2.4GHz 11n
A standard 5v micro-USB mains charger works fine
Just got mine delivered this evening along with a v2 camera... time to spy on the outside world :smiley:

So you need to buy the wires and stuff separate?

Yes, you will need a Micro SD Card for the operating system, a mains power source and ideally a little case to keep the board safe.

The office starter kit is just under £50 on Amazon:

Thank you
E.g. the Raspberry has more USB ports whereas the Banana has less USB but does have a SATA port.
