Affordable quality
The Q Acoustic 2050i speakers are a quality pair of floorstanding speakers that, given the sound quality, are surprisingly affordable. Designed by true hi-fi enthusiasts, the 2050i use excellent quality components for the price and deliver a sound to rival many more expensive designs

Advice please, was thinking of putting a pair of floor standers inside cupboards Ether side of a chimney brest, is it worth getting floor standers over shelf speakers?

Floor standers will tend to be stronger on the lower end. What application, movies/music etc? If you're coupling with a sub it won't make as much of a difference though and I prefer my stand mounts for music as I often find the bass too prominent.
You need to be fairly careful putting any speaker in a cupboard though as some have rear bass ports and the bass may be boomy if too close to the back or enclosed. Not sure if these have rear ports but if it's recommended they're a certain distance from a wall I'd be wary...

These like to be a bit away from the wall , so probably not perfect for a cupboard .

Depends on your plan really. I'm planning on getting the denon AVR 2200W for Atmos so upward firing speakers can be put on top of the floor mounted ones, making it easier for placement.

I bought the 2000 cinema pack when they first came out in 2009. Was so impressed I got another pair of 2010's for a bedroom. Excellent products.

From your experience, would having a powerful sub make the 2 woofer drives on these speakers ineffective? Or make the sound "off" a bit?
