The Pure Sensia 200d brings together Internet radio, DAB, FM and uPnP streaming in one stylish device.
One unit, many sources
As well as featuring DAB and FM radios, the Sensia 200d is also Wi-Fi enabled; allowing it to connect to your home network and receive Internet radio and streaming audio via uPnP (Universal Plug And Play).
Touch screen control
Using a large touch screen display you can not only select radio stations but also make use of online apps. Check the latest weather forecast, keep up to date with Twitter and view your streamed album collection on the large, intuitive display. Just like using a smartphone, this brings a whole new level of interactivity to home entertainment. Please note, Facebook is no longer supported.
Pure sound
What's really special about the Pure Sensia is that it combines this effortless interface with excellent sound quality. Widely spaced stereo speakers give a spacious "out-of-the-box" sound quality that might come as a surprise after listening to a typical clock radio. What's more, the sound is evenly balanced with a detailed but not harsh treble and a solid bass. It's not hi-fi, but it's a league ahead of other bedside audio products.
Other great features
If the Internet radio, smart interface and great sound weren't enough, the Sensia 200d goes further still. An auxiliary connection lets you plug in your iPod or MP3 player. If you can't quite stretch across to the display then the handy remote control will navigate around it for you. Although mains powered, Pure's optional ChargePak battery means that the Sensia has the potential to be fully portable - just remember to stay within your Wi-Fi zone if you're listening to Internet radio.
All this technology is wrapped up in a stylish spheroid shape that's already become a design icon. Wake up to a new dawn with the Pure Sensia 200d.

I remember looking at these c5 years ago at £250. The reviews put me off. Wonder if they are any better now with latest software?

paid £69.95 for one in march, love it to bits have absolutely zero problems with it and use it nightly mainly dab and internet radio but do have a usb stick with 50 odd choice albums..
love that the remote isn't directional so just press the button and it work, wish the remote had a 'sleep' button on it though.

I have the original Sensia 200 and its good apart from 2 things, it takes at least 2 mins to boot up and play music & its slow to respond to the touch screen.
Are these problems still present on the 200D?
I think these were well overpriced! We got one back in 2012 for the office. The interface was very slow and clunky and the sound quality was really poor, although it did go quite loud. I think the design would be considered rather dated these days too...
