I have both the 200 and 200D. 200 is laggy and the touch screen is crap. 200D is worlds apart though - no lag and the touchscreen is great. Sound is great for such a small unit. Apps on the 200 are unusable bit we have inaccuweather on the 200D and that works fine.

It's OK, yes, but unlike the Sensia, it can't cope with the new BBC iPlayer formats, so 'listen again' won't work.

roberts do one called istream 63i I think and it's brilliant. ......check out the what hifi reviews for it before you take the plunge on this.

I bought an original Sensia 200 a couple of years ago and had problems with it and Pure replaced it with a Sensia 200D and I had that replaced about eight times. If it wasn't the inability to connect to WiFi or browse music on a server, it was its failure to boot up - the splash screen would just appear and nothing else - it was unresponsive and had to have the battery removed in order to force a reboot. There were some which couldn't detect DAB signals and some which the LCD touch screen just would not work. The final straw came when the last one arrived with a bug sandwiched in the LCD display.
The apps did not work (Facebook, Twitter and Picassa) and the promised new apps in development never materialised.
It was incapable of remembering anything of any importance - everything such as WiFi passwords and other preferences was wiped out when there was no power e.g. when the damned thing froze and required the battery to be removed.
The design may look 'cool' but it is actually rubbish. It isn't as portable as you might expect - there is no handle and requires two hands to pick it up and a third to pick up the stand - which is not attached.
You may be lucky and get a good one but my Sensia 200D saga lasted almost a year and I hate to think how much time I wasted e-mailing, telephoning and waiting in for collections and deliveries. I have a Pure Evoke 3 which has worked for about eight years but this thing doesn't just look like a lemon, I assure you.

I had one of these when they first came out, liked the concept but it was so buggy i returned it.
At this price and (hopefully) with updated software I'm tempted to give it a shot again.

I think these were well overpriced! We got one back in 2012 for the office. The interface was very slow and clunky and the sound quality was really poor, although it did go quite loud. I think the design would be considered rather dated these days too...
I have the original Sensia 200 and its good apart from 2 things, it takes at least 2 mins to boot up and play music & its slow to respond to the touch screen.
Are these problems still present on the 200D?

paid £69.95 for one in march, love it to bits have absolutely zero problems with it and use it nightly mainly dab and internet radio but do have a usb stick with 50 odd choice albums..
love that the remote isn't directional so just press the button and it work, wish the remote had a 'sleep' button on it though.

I remember looking at these c5 years ago at £250. The reviews put me off. Wonder if they are any better now with latest software?
