The easiest type of welding to learn on is MIG rather than MMA (Arc). Unless you need portability and the facility to work off a generator I'd avoid this. You'd also be very well advised to get a proper welding mask rather than the supplied shield. Unbelievable that they can sell at this price.

I'm looking for a decent deal on a Flux gas less welder as I think that might be a better option for home DIYers like me who always look for an excuse to work on a project :smiley:

Does anyone know if these power from a standard 13amp uk plug. I bought one a few years back from Aldi and took it back because it needed a higher rated socket - which at the time I didn't have - now I'm a bit more confident with electrics so would buy again with more confidence.
