If you have a home cinema system, you only need one HDMI port on the TV - Sky box, games consoles etc go into surround receiver, HDMI Out on the receiver then goes to the TV port.

Looks very much like the cheap tesco ones at the moment.. Digihome.... look at the stands and the same 43inch model? STRANGE

Because companies have to pay a licensing fee per socket they use. This is a super cheap TV hence one socket.
