Spotted the MR16 for £1.99, they are my favorire for bathrooms and kitchen. They offer a good broad beam and 320lm, they have other bulbs at this price in the clearance tab.

420lm are 99p at home bargains at the minute or are at the one in Bury, I bought 10 but 100s on the shelf, very good and very bright

Do they come with a 5 year guarantee. I have not seen the HB bulbs, they might be good. I can only recommend the bulbs I have used. I'll call in and have a look.

Can anyone tell me how to check if my current drivers will be LED compatible?

It's a bit hit and miss, check the load specification on the driver. Is it Low enough for the total LED load your going to fit?

Sounds odd but you can leave one halogen bulb in place and change the rest. I bought four LED replacements for my 20W halogen MR16 bulbs and they flickered horribly. Put one halogen back in as a temporary measure and was going to just buy more halogen ones as I didn't like the wide beam of the LEDs. A month later and I've got used to them. Will still change again for 20W halogen dichroic - eventually.
