Just install Nova Launcher or Google Now Launcher - problem solved. Did this with my wife's P8 lite and other than the notifications, it's much like stock Android.
The phone itself is a bargain. She got it for £79 from Vodafone and then unlocked using DC unlocker. Runs quick with the 2GB RAM. No lag at all. Camera is good. Not flagship good, but certainly miles better than gen 1 Moto G she is upgrading from. Way better than all of these cheap import 13MP cameras I've tried.
As for the keyboard problem mentioned above. Install Google Keyboard, again moving closer to stock Android. Absolute bargain for £79 or £89.

apart from huawei's own iphone copy interface.
no preinstalled facebook or twitter, etc, which is a nice change. at least my p8 came without them.

Not if you like OS upgrades...

If yours is the 8GB /1GB version then probably yes.
But you will miss the high quality feel of the Moto G.
Not seen the P8 Lite 'in person' - it might be a beauty!

Brought is the past tense of bring, you should write bought as the past tense of buy. Sorry, I majored in linguistics.

For the money, its an excellent phone. Have seen it criticised for being "laggy" but it does all I want it to do without issue - it makes calls, it receives SMS and with Firefox installed browses the web easily enough. Video playback is fine for me, both from the SD card and via Kodi. How it is for games I don't know as I don't use it for any.

Just bought it on Vofafone for £79 last week and its great phone for the price! Leaving it as a spare one. Works very fast and everything looks like it's an iPhone
