My old bin that had a motion sensor kept on opening when the door was a few centimeters away from the bin and I only had 5-8 seconds before it automatically shoot on me which was a bit annoying. But this one seems to be perfect so far as it does not open when the door is right next to the bin and it has a timer to count down to shoot but every time you move over the sensor the time restarts.

Got mine for about six months, all fine just need to use good quality bin bags as they are heavy when full, and use rechargable batteries as they draining quickly.

I have this and its fantastic. Never had issue with batteries, using good alkaline ones and they have lasted 3+ months.
The bin bags from Home Bargains (black with yellow drawstrings) work perfectly. This is a big bin but the shape means rubbish does not get stuck in the same way as a round bin.
