I've got a cheap different model De'Longhi and I'm fussy(though not snobby) about my coffee and I rate it very highly. Biggest tip is warm the cup otherwise it's all technical tips. How fine the grind, how hard you pack it double or single shot etc. As above YouTube is your barista buddy

If you're not going to steam milk, look for Delonghi Alicia or similar, takes up much less space.
I've had this model for 3 years (paid a similar price when Amazon reduced it) and I'm very happy with it.
More hassle than a Tassimo/Nespresso machine (I have a Tassimo at work for convenience) but it makes better coffee and costs a lot less to run.
Suspect it's an old model now so they're selling them off - still a great machine for the money.

I bought this when it was the same price at Christmas, my first one made one round of coffee then gave up the ghost, I got a replacement from Argos, and it lasted for two weeks and then the same thing happened just would not start up I really was upset as I really liked the machine.

There's a few demo videos on youtube, just search out the model number. Generally it's ground coffee (your own or packaged). I think you can use a particular make of pod too (not 100% sure).

If it hasn't changed in the last year or so... mine came with two attachments for the group head (the bit where the coffee goes), one for ground coffee, and one for those ese pod/bag things, so you choose what you'd prefer.
It's pretty good for a cheap machine.

I'm not knocking this deal, but for those who love coffee, should really consider an Aeropress (look at the reviews on amazon). A full on espresso machine is a delight, obviously, but this cheap machine isn't ever going to produce a full on espresso.

Just to be clear I've looked up the correct item is it the big tube type item that sits on the cup?, so it then won't froth milk?

That's quite untrue. I've put an unpressurised bottomless portafilter on mine and it's giving me excellent results with very finely ground coffee. I just hadto play with the tamper, grind and amount until I got it right. Having freshly roasted beans is also a must. I paid a fair bit less for mine but I'd struggle to fine anything close for double the cost of this tbh

Worth pointing out though Aeropress is a different experience to espresso.. Aeropress is closer to filtered coffee but far nicer.
