if u want great garden sounds u need to get soundtouch 20. It is double the price but the sound is out of this world.

For the size of this speaker the sound quality is pretty good. Bose don't mention the specs specially the output on any of their speakers. There are plenty of positive reviews on Amazon with a few negative.

I can't make up my mind between the soundtouch 10 or the soundlink mini II. I know SLM2 is portable and has a chargeable battery. Is there much difference in the sound quality and output between the 2?

Great speaker...though the WiFi can be a bit flaky at times. I use it for the kitchen....probably need something larger to get reasonable quality in the garden.

How right you are. Anyone playing loud music in 'The Garden' is selfish. USE HEADPHONES.

Mini II has some reliability issues with the battery, but it is otherwise great.
The 10 is a little bigger but does require mains power.
I guess it depends on whether you value portability. If you do, then I'd go for the Mini.
