the reviews for this are absolutely appalling. I'm going to buy a pair of wellies instead. it won't help with the lawn but I just love wearing them. hope this helps.

Thanks, for a change with Argos this seems to be a good price for the 400w model. Bought one as my local store actually has stock!
Got one of these battery ones a while back (Homebase clearance for £27.43) and very happy with it. Spare blades are a little costly though, but they seem to last quite well.

I do need a new strimmer but every time I get one for £20 it turns out to be crap. Think I'm gonna pay a bit more this time round.
