The membership tier will be made available starting today to both new and existing subscribers who will be able to either sign up or change their membership from the web or the Apple Music mobile application for iOS and Android.
Discount will be verified through Unidays, but nothing showing on their site at the moment. £9.99 monthly fee reduced to £4.99 for 12 months and you can renew this after 12 months if you're still a student.
Don't expect this to go very hot as most people this site hate Apple AND students haha.
Apple Music, along with every other streaming service I've tried, is far from perfect and clearly the service received when the issue was raised was poor at best but come on...... we've all lived in this digital world long enough to know you should backup backup backup.

Like Apple, but why should students get discounts on everything? Thought they were all hard up paying for their fees, or is that the union bar? ;-)

To give people studying for degrees an incentive to spend money. It's as simple as that.
Students aren't 'hard up paying for their fees' - those that obtain a tuition fee loan never actually see the money, it is forwarded directly from SFE to the relevant University.
Also, this is a false deal. As of yet the promotion does not exist, despite being widely reported on in the Apple rumour sites. Chances are it will become available in the UK as of this evening. But, no official announcement as of yet, therefore no deal until such an announcement is made .

How do you expect a country to prosper without trained Engineers, Doctors , Nurses, Teachers etc. All require a degree.
Life is being made tougher for students year on year, we don't need this stupid 'union bar'
rubbish.
I am a student doing training for a career I couldnt get into without Uni- not to get **** up. Dont tar everyone with the same brush.

^^i think there's an apple family one for £15 if i remember correctly, so depending on how many appleites in the house, you could use that and split the costs?

I actually received an email yesterday but I can't find it in my inbox, not sure where it's gone? Not sure if it's been recalled, or whether I imagined reading it when I first woke up?!
I was just about to share that...wouldn't touch Apple music with a bargepole!

I tried it for Free for 3 months. It didn't delete a thing after the trail. Only thing that stopped working were the albums I downloaded (via Apple Music, not purchases) during the trial (expected behaviour).

I wonder if the Family bundle will be discounted for students who have families?

It is nice though that us students get discounts sometimes, it's not like we're rolling around in an abundance of disposable income.

Students get loads of discounts on a wide variety of services and goods. I wouldn't wait for this website to tell you though, there must be a site that can list the majority you are entitled to?
