Can't be 5w if it runs for 3.5 hours on 2 AA batteries.

full regulated generally seem to have a high mode which drops after a few minutes due to thermal regulation and to avoid burning out the led.
it can be 5w but it can also have poor conversion of electrical power to yer actual lumens.
I like lots of lumens, lots of lovely regulated lumens. :sunglasses:
